Return to music journalism

One of my first jobs out of college was writing music reviews and features for the Riverfront Times, St. Louis’ alternative weekly. While my career departed from that focus for many years, I did come back to that first love decades later, first as a volunteer with the late lamented Victory Review and more recently with the world’s premiere guitar magazine (if I do say so myself), the Fretboard Journal.

The current issue of FJ includes my story about working with luthier Robbie O’Brien to hand-build a guitar. There’s a link below. To read my other FJ stories and older music journalism pieces, go to the Fretboard Journal Articles page of this website.
